Frequently Asked Questions
-
What CAD formats are you experienced
with?
Answer: We are very experienced with Solidworks and AutoCAD. We have been working with Solidworks Office Premium for the
last three years, and have also been using many versions of AutoCAD for over 17 years, including Mechanical,
Powerpack, and Electrical.
-
How many designers do you employ?
Answer: J2 Innovations is a group of dedicated associates. Tag McGough and Steve Cichanowicz are the primary
managers of accounts/projects. Becoming the project engineers, they will assess each job potential and
would sub-contract to our "associate pool" for any jobs, if added
expertise or workforce is required.
-
How do I know whether my application is too big or small for J2?
Answer: The best thing to do is to contact us. For small, or large,
jobs we can quote hourly rates or "complete". While we have designed/managed large assembly lines, we excel in designing/detailing
simple fixturing and machinery, as well.
-
If I have a "larger" application, how do I know that you can meet the deadlines?
Answer: Customer
satifaction is the only thing that keeps us in business. We have repeat customers, and we will work whatever hours it takes to complete your jobs on
time. We can also keep you abreast of progress through weekly timeline updates. If you would like references, please contact us.
-
What are your primary fields of expertise?
Answer: While Tag and Steve worked together for many years in "automated assembly production", each have differing backgrounds, prior to that. Their
backgrounds cover gage/fixturing, stamping/press equipment, canning equipment, mold equipment, fully automated lines,
and "workcell" assembly environments.
